Japan is the 2nd largest unreached people group in the world!

It is estimated that of the 7.75 billion people alive in the world today, 3.23 billion of them live in unreached people groups with little or no access to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. According to Joshua Project, there are approximately 17,446 unique people groups in the world with 7,400+ of them considered unreached (over 41% of the world’s population!)…

Japan's Empty Religions

Shinto and Buddhism are Japan’s two major religions. Shinto is as old as the Japanese culture, while Buddhism was imported from the mainland in the 6th century. Since then, the two religions have been co-existing relatively harmoniously and have even complemented each other to a certain degree. Most Japanese consider themselves Buddhist, Shintoist or both.

Japan's Suicide Rate

There are more than 30,000 people who commit suicide in Japan every year. 2,500 a month, 83 per day, 3 people per hour.  Occupational sudden mortality, known as karoshi (“death by overwork”) is a well-known phenomenon in Japanese society.
