The last 2 months have been really busy! We started our language learning which is now our main job here in Japan for the next 2 years. If you have ever had this experience then you know just how hard it is not only to learn the language but to actually be able to communicate using it. Japanese is one of the hardest languages to learn because of their difficult writing system and the connection so intertwined with the culture. At Hope Alive we have continued our normal Sunday job. I have been working recently on revamping the HA website (above is a 30 sec video of it). It gives us such joy to use our skills to reach the lost here in Japan. We’ve had Birthdays, Christmas parties and other events, been to the doctor and dentist a few times. We had our strategy meeting for 2023 with our theme this year being DEEP & WIDE: DEEPLY ROOTED AND GROWING FAITH. Please pray for our current weekly outreaches which include Radiate (young adult group), Table Tennis, Cooking in English. As well as our yearly outreaches especially our Easter egg hunt coming up soon! Hope Alive is jumping on the podcast train we will be streaming our sermons for now with hopes of expanding that further. We also have a possible building project coming up, because of our growth we are going to tear down a wall for more seating, we don’t want to lose the room itself so we will put in a collapsable wall. Hope Alive is celebrating 4 years this Sunday!! So many things happening looking forward to sharing more as the year continues! See our post about welcoming our new teammate!
